appealing about san francisco and brings people here and so i'm worried that putting so many restriction in such a large area may lock it up in time for something that may be good to others and i'm not sure that that is ever really going to equity you are us years from now. my comments right now have nothing do with the effort of the staff or the task force, clearly, they have done a tremendous amount of work but it's also apparent to me and it has been in most of today that has been notified involved. and i know it's 100 -- it's difficult to capture 100% of the audience, this audience happens to be very remixed and so, i think it's even more difficult of a task to reach everybody. but there are still some opt there as we speak right now that didn't neither about this and so i want to sort this out early and i'm not sure where we are. i want to hear what other commissioners have to say thank you. >>> commissioner gold den done. >> i think all of us want to thank the tasks force and task force that they put into this and as we know from other plans and process there will never be 100% bec

looks like cell moving over parts of san francisco. most of the rain moving over the north bay moving into mill valley towards berkeley right now where you see this yellow cell there hovering over the bay. showers tapering off by evening and then a short dry break. looks like for at least a day. so cold front continues to move farther inland. we still have this unstable air behind it. carry the umbrella and once again we are expecting some breezy conditions to continue into the afternoon. yesterday we got 1.5" in some plays today more just scattered showers but it's going to remain wet and unstable until about 9:00 tomorrow and then you see things start to close out overnight. 2 feet of snow in some parts of tahoe, gusty winds in the last 24 hours with the storm system yesterday. low to mid-50s for the most part. 54 in concord, 53 in livermore. rain continues into today dry break by thursday and then another system friday into saturday morning not as much rain as yesterda and today. still wet. sunday, monday, tuesday for new year's eve

san francisco dropping down to 51 degrees. this is what i wanted to show you for about five days but haven't had the chance. cbs 5 high def doppler is dry and will stay that way until wednesday. here is how much rain fell. in the north bay mountains, i can't believe this, they had 6- 14 inches of rain over five days. sonoma county had 5-9 inches of rain. on the peninsula, including san francisco, 3-6 inches of rain. inland along the 680 corridor and the east bay, you also had 3-6 inches of rain but it is done. it is finished. there is no round four. here is something interesting. the rainfall is pushing off to the east. look at what is coming up next. it looks like the -- it looks like the system is heading toward us. but here is one deflector shield, if you will. high pressure building in to the south and west that will take that moisture and shove it up to the north. so high pressure will dry us out giving us partly sunny skies tomorrow and mainly cloudy but still dry on tuesday. on tuesday night into wednesday that there is

up here in san francisco. of course across the city a lot of these trees starting to come down and workers san francisco's recycling program want to make sure the trees don't end up in the landfill. instead they want to put them to good use, eventually turning them into renewable energy. this is the demonstration just about an hour ago here outside city hall as workers put a couple dozen trees in to the chipper. crews from the recycling contractor will begin collecting people's old trees starting next week. workers expect in the end to recycle more than 500-tons of trees. the manager said all of those wood chips can be burned. the heat turns the generator and creates power. when you put your old tree out on the curb for pick up make sure to take everything off it. >> if the lights and ornaments still on it we can't put it in the chipper, it'll contaminate the load, ruin the product. if it's not stripped of all those things that will go into the trash and to the landfill. we don't want that. >> reporter: if you
